Description:
This project consisted of the reconstruction of a jetty that involved replacing 225 piles, 60 caps, 50 stringers, and approximately 800 braces. Organization was the key component to this project. From ordering material to scheduling shifts to accommodate tide work, every step of the job had to be planned out to the fullest for the project to be a success. On February 17th, the completion date, the jetty will be 100% operational and turned back over to the client. Through out the duration of the job we maintained a very close working relationship with our client, Public Works. Good communication was essential for dealing with the numerous unforeseen extras that were uncovered during the course of construction. All of these extras were dealt with without adding any extra time to the project’s completion date.
