Description:
Ogden Point, Pier B is a cruise ship facility located in Victoria, BC. The concrete caissons used to construct the pier iin the early 1900’s settled approximately 1.5 metres on the seaward end. The project involved the forming and pouring of a concrete retaining wall 275 metres long, importing 8000 m3 of gravel, the installation of new water sever and electrical services and the installation of 13,000 m2 of asphalt. The work was scheduled and completed on time 1 week before the first cruise ship arrived.

Organize the scheduling of sub-trades to ensure the critical completion date was met.

Relevant Skills: Managing a team made up of 75% sub-trades to insure that all involved had access to the work area without interruption to any other portions of the project.
Safety & WCB Record: The project was completed with no accidents or incidents reported.
Environmental Record: Department of Fisheries and Oceans inspected the site during construction and no violations were reported. An Environmental Action Plan was submitted before construction began and was strictly adhered to for the duration of the project.
