Description:
The design, procurement and construction of five
14m wide x 21m long x 18m deep cofferdam cells. Each cell was to be excavated 12m below river level then dewatered. Each foundation once dewatered received 150 timber piles driven to refusal. Access to each cell location was provided by Ruskin services.

 Cell #2 required a re-design in procedures to deal with the unforeseen ground conditions.

Duties:

Provide project construction team to deliver a safe and on schedule project.

Responsibility:

Prepare construction procedures, execution of safety and operational plan. Manage logistic of material deliveries to ensure steady flow of construction. Work with all stakeholders to deliver the project on time in harsh winter conditions.
Relevant Skills: Working with all stakeholders to delver a time critical product. Access and cofferdam installation and dewatering.
Safety & WCB Record: No lost time accidents.
Environmental Record: All work was completed within the guidelines presented by the controlling agencies.
Quality Management Experience: All materials and services supplied to specification.
