Description:
The Mackenzie Winter Road located in the Northwest Territories, provides a critical seven-week transportation window each year in which supplies are moved to replenish the communities surrounding Norman Wells. This project included the installation of owner-supplied materials for four permanent structures along a 190km section of this winter road. The structures where approximately 100m in length, and required extensive pile driving and steel erection procedures. The total construction was completed in partnership with local First Nations communities. The project was completed in 38 days with a crew of 32 Bridgemen working on a 24 hr shift.
