Description: The scope of work on this project consisted of the installation of eight (8) C.I.D.H. piles at two (2) bridge sites. The piles were placed in pairs and located immediately adjacent to the existing bridge piers #2, 3 and 4 at Rock Creek, and #2 at the North Fork of the Feather River near Storrie. Each pair of piles consisted of different sizes: 4', 5', 6' and 7' (nominal). In each case, the installation concept involved advancing a steel casing (3/4" wall, unpainted) through the existing overburden to the bedrock surface and then the advancement of a rock socket of slightly smaller diameter to a predetermined tip elevation.
