Description:
This was a very time sensitive project. Norske Canada’s pulp mill and the town of Crofton both relied on this bridge for highway access. MoTH imposed a dead line of 15 days with stiff penalties for noncompliance. The existing bride was removed and the new one was installed complete with paving in 12 days, 3 days ahead of schedule. A strict environmental action plan was implemented during the course of construction, which produced minimal impact to this very sensitive waterway. The concerns of the residents in the immediate area were carefully looked at and dealt with to minimize any inconvenience that may have occurred during the construction period.

Duties:

Provide project construction team to deliver a safe and on schedule project.

Responsibility:

Prepare construction procedures, execution of safety and operational plan. Manage logistic of material deliveries to ensure steady flow of construction. Work with all stakeholders to deliver the project on time in harsh winter conditions.
Relevant Skills: Planning and delivering a critical project on time. Local site conditions required extensive communication with the road users and the utility companies.
