Description:
Emergency repair of two train Bridge Structures. The original spans had been constructed on a spread footing foundation, which washed out during a peak flood condition. Ruskin was called in to the site on a 24-hour per day basis to re-construct the foundations and get the rail line back into service. The work was preformed over a seven day initial period included demolition of the existing abutments, drilling new foundation piles, constructing a new substructure and lifting the existing superstructure into place to allow rail traffic flow. From the call out time to the first train running was 7 days.
